Why a receipt is never deleted
Every rupee a family gives is an amanah. Here is how numbered receipts, cancellations with a reason and an audit trail keep the accounts clear.

A family that pays its varisankhya trusts the committee with that money. The record of it should be as lasting as the trust.
Numbered, in order
Every receipt in Rabita One takes the next number in its series, in the same moment it is saved. No number is skipped and none is used twice, so the committee and the auditor can follow the book from the first receipt to the last.
Cancelled, never erased
Mistakes happen: a wrong amount, a receipt for the wrong house. In Rabita One a receipt is never deleted. It is cancelled with a written reason and stays in the list, marked as cancelled, with who cancelled it and when.
A trail for every change
Every change in the mahallu, by any office-bearer, is written to an audit log that cannot be edited. When the general body asks a question about the accounts, the answer is already there.
Arrears are shown to the committee as information only. Rabita One never blocks a certificate or a service on its own; the committee decides.
